Solar Car

Solar cars were first built by universities and manufacturers. The sun energy collector areas proved to be too large for consumer cars, however that is changing. Development continues on solar cell design and car power supply requirements such as heater or air-conditioning fans. The solar car's motor is not 100% efficient. Some of the energy sent to the motor is changed into heat due to friction in the motor. Therefore it is necessary to find the efficiency factor of the motor. The motor's efficiency varies according to the speed (RPM) and opposition to turning.
